Trimethylsilylmethyl Ketones in Synthesis A Regiospecific Synthesis of β, γ-Unsaturated Esters, Amides and Nitriles

Abstract

In connection with our studies directed toward a new procedure for the preparation of unsaturated butyrolactones, a method for introduction of unsaturation β,γ to an ester was required. This note reports our efforts in this area and extends the results obtained to other systems as well.
