New Derivatives of Amino Acids N, N-Dichloroglycine and N, N-Dichloro-B-Alanine

Abstract

The chlorinated derivatives of amino acids are important from both a biological and chemical point of view. Hitherto all references to the N-chlorinated derivatives of amino acids involve reaction of the amino acid and sodium hypochlorite at various pH's^1-8. Due to the instability and high water solubility of the N-chlorinated amino acids isolation has not yet been reported.
