Abstract

A search for a convenient and optimal method for synthesis of diphenylacetamide derivatives is connected with a problem of obtaining the valuable herbicide¹⁾ the N-N-dimethyldiphenylactamide (diphnamid). All the syntheses of diphenamid descibed so far amount finally toa reaction of diphenylacetyl chloride with dimethylamine according to Chaney et al. method²⁾.
