Abstract

2,4-disubstituted 5(4H)-oxazolones, also known as azlactones, can lead to α-benzamidoaryl (or heteroaryl) acrytanilides (1) or to α, β-diatnino acids (2,3). These derivatives (1, 3, 4), as well as azlactones (5), may display valuable biological activities.
