Acid Catalysed Isomerisation of Z-α-Phenylcinnamic Acids and Their Conversion to Isomeric Isoaurones

Abstract

E(4′)and Z(4)-α-Phenylcinnamic acids were synthesised. These were then converted into iso-aurones. The stereochemistry of these were determined by 1H NMR and Lanthanide induced shift (LIS) studies.
