New Pyrimido[1′,6′:1,2]pyrido[3,4-b]indoles

Abstract

Several new (±)-1-phenyl-3-acyl-1α,2,3,4,6,7,12,12bα-octahydro-pyrimido-[1′,6′:1,2]pyrido[3,4-b]indoles (5a-5m) have been prepared from (±)-1-phenyl-1α,2,3,4,6,7,12,12bα-octahydro-pyrimido[1′,6′,:1,2] pyrido[3,4-b]indole (4) which was obtained by successive debenzylation and reduction of (±)-1-phenyl-3-benzyl-1α,2,3,4,6,7,12,12bα-octahydro-pyrimido[1′,6′:1,2]pyrido[3,4-b]indole (2, R═C₆H₅-CH₂─).
