Abstract

A new class of potential antiviral drugs is represented by isoxazolidine nucleosides. The paper reports on the synthesis of protected adenines useful as dipolarophiles in the preparation of analogues of dideoxyadenosine by 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition processes.
