Reaction of N-Phenyl-3,5-di-tert-butyl-1,2-benzoquinone Monohydrazone and Some Phosphorus Ylides

Abstract

Treatment of o-quinonemonohydrazone 1 with phosphorus ylides 2a and 2b yielded the pyrazoles 4a,b and 1,4-oxazine 6. Reaction of 1 with 2c and 2d gave exclusively the new ylides 7a,b whereas with ylide 2e, the unexpected pyridazine derivative 11 was obtained.
