Some Results on Simultaneous Inference for Analysis of Variance With Unequal Variances

Pages 337-340 | Published online: 09 Apr 2012

Abstract

Bishop and Dudewicz [2] gave a two-stage procedure for testing hypotheses in analvsis of variance models with unequal variances. This paper presents multiple-comparison procedures which may be used to follow up those tests. They are similar in form to the Tukey and Scheffe type multiple-comparison procedures. The confidence intervals are of fixed-length and have associated confidence coefficients which are independent of the unknown variances.
