Abstract
Results are presented of the measurement of diffuse reflectance in the near-infra-red and visible regions, and it is shown that a new method of yield-testing of wool by reflectance spectroscopy in the two regions is available. The method gives a measure of the concentration of the components in washed wool.
It is demonstrated that measurements obtained from the InfraAIyzer and the Color Eye are sufficiently precise for use in such applications as guidance-testing or lot-building, where rapid measurements are required and moderate precision is acceptable.
