Abstract

Extract

Coccidiosis in lambs has never been regarded in this country as being of any significance. From experiences over the last twelve months, a certain amount of circumstantial evidence has been accumulated to indicate that it may be responsible for unthriftiness in lambs and may even be associated with some serious mortalities. This assumption is based on clinical examination of lambs, post mortem findings, oocyst estimation in faecal samples, and the excellent response to Sulphamezathine therapy.
