When the developmental complexities of the urogenital system are considered, it is remarkable that the incidence of abnormalities in the urogenital tract is so low, and that such anomalies appear to be one of the least important factors affecting fertility in the domestic animals. A number of defects of the bovine reproductive system have been described (CitationWilliams, 1939; CitationSpriggs, 1946; CitationSettergren and Galloway, 1965). An important groupof these is due to abnormal paramesonephric (Müllerian) duct development, namely, uterus unicornis and uterus didelphys. One of the specimens to be described here showed atresia of the left uterine cornu and may be considered one of the unicornis group, whereas the other, of a type undescribed by the authors mentioned, involved the whole of the early embryonic cloaca.
