Cryptococcosis, a disease caused by the yeast Cryptococcus neoformans has been reported in the human being, monkey, ox, goat, sheep, horse, dog, fox, pig, koala bear, guinea-pig, ferret, mink, civet cat, cheetah and domestic cat. Most of the pertinent veterinary literature is cited in papers by Barron (Citation1955), Taurtwein and Nielsen (Citation1962), Olander, et al. (Citation1963) and Laws and Simmons (Citation1966).
