Sir,—Cattle deaths from cyanide poisoning have resulted from the ingestion of reed sweet-grass, Poa aquatica (Sharman, Citation1967). Samples of leaves from this plant, gathered at approximately monthly intervals throughout the year, have now been analysed for their cyanide content.
