Abstract

Extract

Although the causes of urinary incontinence in the dog are numerous (CitationKirk et al., 1968) no report of its association with a diverticulum in the region of the bladder neck can be traced in the literature, nor has this latter condition been reported. Diverticula, however, do occur in other parts of the urinary tract of dogs, being found both in the fundus of the bladder (CitationKirk et al., 1968) and in the ischial urethra following ischial urethrotomy (CitationGoulden, 1966).
