Using thiabendazole, Brunsdon Citation(1963, Citation1964) was able to assess the effect of trichostrongyle infestation on liveweight gains in young sheep and, as a practical programme for the control, showed that three drenches administered at monthly intervals in the autumn gave the most satisfactory results (CitationBrunsdon, 1966).
