There could be some justification for assuming that this quotation was selected as a reflection of the feelings of an outgoing president. This may be partly true but it was not the only reason for its selection. During the past year, several problems have confronted this Association and consideration of these has prompted me to select as the theme of this address “The Responsibilities of the Veterinary Profession in New Zealand”.
