Sir,—An usually high incidence of mastitis has been seen in a town supply herd on a farm at Riverhead, Auckland. From the 60 to 80 cows milked at any one time, annual cullings for mastitis have been: 1964—18; 1965—23; 1966—37; 1967—60.
