Abstract

Extract

Haemophilus suis and Mycoplasma hyorhinis have been shown to be specific causes of polyserositis in pigs. These diseases have been reviewed by Switzer Citation1964), and Roberts and Doyle Citation1964). Dual infection with both H. suis and M. hyorhinis has been reported (Lecce et al., Citation1960). Haemophilus spp. have been isolated infrequently at the Ruakura Veterinary Diagnostic Station from pigs that have had polyserositis.
