Information about diseases in domestic fowls in New Zealand is contained in two books (Anon., Citation1965; Anon., Citation1971). The following diseases have been the subject of separate reports: Salmonella newington infection (Flannery, Citation1954); lead poisoning (Salisbury et al, Citation1958); Ornithonyssus sylviarum infestation (Thomas and Watson, Citation1958); infectious laryngotracheitis (Webster, Citation1959); mycoplasmosis (Pohl, Citation1966); infectious bronchitis (Pohl, Citation1967); uraemia (Pohl, Citation1968); coccidiosis (Pohl, Citation1969); vibriosis (Pohl, et al, Citation1969) and capillariasis (Rickard and Pohl, Citation1969).
