Sources of biochemical and haematological data for normal adult sheep include Spector (Citation1956), Wagner and Brown (Citation1966). Van Zyl (Citation1967), Birkeland (Citation1968a, Citationb), and Young et al. (Citation1965). Little information exists on the extent to which these parameters may be influenced by age, although variations between certain juvenile and adult values are well recognized in other species (Bergmeyer, Citation1963; Spector, Citation1956; Donawich and Baue, Citation1968).
