The efficiency of haloxon (3-chloro-7-hydroxy - 4 - methylcoumarin bis (2 - chloroethyl) phosphate) against ascarids and strongyles in horses has been well documented by Bosman (Citation1966), Neave (Citation1970) and Cook (Citation1973). The drug is slightly effective against bots (Gasterophilus larvae) and it has been suggested that better results would be achieved by the addition of a boticide which might be effective at less that full dosage in combination with haloxon.
