Facial eczema: Zinc responsiveness in dairy cattle

Pages 41-42 | Received 17 Oct 1974, Published online: 23 Feb 2011

Abstract

Extract

There has been increased interest in the possibility of the presence of zinc-responsive, disorders in cattle grazing on New Zealand pastures. Recently observations were made on three different farms where facial eczema had been present in clinical form. On one farm only, the opportunity was available to conduct a trial where live weights were obtainable.
