The isolation of infectious bronchitis (IB) virus of chickens in New Zealand (CitationPohl, 1967, Citation1968) has been followed by reports on the frequency of IB virus isolation at the Ruakura Animal Health Laboratory (CitationMcCausland, 1972) and clinical symptoms and pathology of IB in New Zealand (CitationMcCausland et al., 1972). More recently a serological pilot survey (CitationLohr, 1974) has given further indications of the extent of the disease in New Zealand.
