The Fatty Liver and Kidney Syndrome (FLKS), occasionally also referred to as Fatty Liver and Kidney Disease, Pink Disease or Q Disease, is a disease of young chickens characterized by sudden signs of paralysis, rapid death, pale swollen liver and kidneys, and abnormal amounts of fat in the liver, kidney, heart and skeletal muscle (Anon., Citation1966).
