CitationMartinovich and Woodhouse (1971) reported Heinz-body anaemia (HBA)as a consistent finding in Northland cattle with post-parturient haemoglobinuria (PPH). They suggested that PPH was referable to interference with mechanisms that protect haemoglobin from oxidative denaturation.
