Sir, — During field trials with ICI 80996 (“Estrumate”) for synchronizing oestrus in beef animals, the following observations were made which provided data on the relationship between ovarian status and subsequent oestrous behaviour in a mob of 2 1/2-year-old Aberdeen Angus cows.
