Abstract

Extract

Canine herpesvirus infections have been reported from many countries following the initial report by Carmichael et al. (Citation1965) on the identification of the virus as a cause of disease in neonatal puppies. The neonatal disease has been well reviewed by Cornwell and Wright (Citation1969). In adult dogs, the virus has been associated with respiratory disease (Karpas et al., Citation1968) and genital disease (Poste and King, Citation1971).
