The entering of a new decade allows a good excuse to list past achievements, take stock and plan for the future. I intend to do this not only because we are at the start of the 1980's, but also because I believe the whole profession has arrived at a stage when substantial change is both inevitable and desirable if the profession is to express its potential in society.
