Sir:— Several times during the past four years Council of the New Zealand Veterinary Association has been asked to comment on ear cropping of dogs. They have discussed it with the Small Animal Society of the New Zealand Veterinary Association. The results of a meeting of the Small Animal Society of the New Zealand Veterinary Association have been reported in this journal (Busch. Citation1983) and reasons for the Society‘s stance given.
