Abstract

The occurrence of dermatophilosis in five month old lambs associated with the grazing of Brassica spp. crops is reported on four farms. The prevalence of the disease varied from 3% to 45% within affected flocks. An additional finding was the occurrence of nervous signs in a small number of more severely affected lambs, characterised by a sudden lowering of the hindquarters.

The association between dermatophilosis and the grazing of Brassica spp. crops is discussed.
