The double gel diffusion test (GDT) is the internationally accepted standard method for detection of antibodies against bovine leukemia virus (BLV)(Citation1). The method has been standardised (within certain limits) and a reference serum has been introduced by the European Commission to control the level of sensitivity of the test.
