Paul W. Merritt received his M.A. in 1967 and Ph.D. in mathematics education in 1972 from the University of Michigan. He has been teaching at Highland Park Community College, Highland Park, Michigan for the past six years, and currently is co-author of a series of semi-programmed textbooks to be published next year.
