Abstract

Norpropylhexedrine, cyclohexylacetoxime, cis- and trans-4-hydroxypropylhexedrine were identified in the urine of man receiving propylhexedrine, by comparison with synthetic compounds on g.l.c. and by combined g.l.c.-mass spectrometry.

Incubation of the drug with hepatic preparations from rabbit and guinea-pig gave the above metabolic products and N-hydroxypropylhexedrine, N-hydroxy-norpropylhexedrine and cyclohexylacetone.
