Abstract

A group of 12 children with amblyopia was randomly selected and treated daily at home with the CAM vision stimulator. These children were compared to a similar group treated with conventional occlusion. There was no significant difference between the groups in the resulting improvement in visual acuity, suppression area or stereopsis. Due to its ease of administration and inexpensiveness, conventional occlusion remains the preferred treatment of amblyopia.
