Abstract

An assessment of three stereo acuity tests was performed on fifty normal patients. Testing was done to determine the difference between the three tests. Tests included: the Titmus Stereo Fly and Circles; the TNO; and the Titmus Randot.

Patients were interviewed to determine visual acuity, muscle balance, and central scotoma, to establish a norm. Each patient was tested uniformly, with the same lighting and the same tests.

It was found that standardization of (seconds of arc) the three tests is necessary, due to significant inter-test variability.
