Abstract

The Craniofacial Dysostosis group of patients have many problems to contend with, and these include barriers to fusion not usually found in patients with normal facial features. In this paper we discuss these barriers, such as wide interpupillary and inter-canthal distance, and variations and abnormalities of the extra-ocular muscles which, combined with the common sensory and motor barriers, prevent the development of fusion.
