, M.D.
Pages 135-150 | Published online: 05 Apr 2018

Abstract

It has been suggested that surgical overcorrection to specific ranges of consecutive esophoria has merit in the therapy of intermittent exotropia. Thirty three of 58 operated patients with childhood intermittent exotropia were intentionally overcorrected using the adjustable suture technique. The ability to achieve desired ranges of overcorrection and the results of overcorrection are reviewed.
