Stone cairn burials at Kokurmatakore, northern Kenya

Abstract

Cairns and other drystone structures, most or all funerary, are the commonest class of monument in eastern Africa, but very few have been investigated archaeologically. It is good that the authors of this article have made a start. Until recently they were both lecturers at the University of Nairobi.
