Abstract
The Queensland 1:25 000 scale mapping program is centred on the provincial centres and the peripheral city areas. A modified specification with an orthophoto base is used between in the rural areas and these products are available as dyelines or published in colour depending on market demand.
Some 400 maps have been produced in the series since 1982 and the 1:25 000, 9542-23 Nerang, Edition 2 map won the Cenerai Purpose Cartography category in the Cartographic Excellence Award at the Australian Institute of Cartographers 1990 Conference in Darwin.
