Further New Zealand Records of Sceliphron (Hymenoptera: Sphecidae)

Abstract

Interception records for Sceliphron spp in New Zealand are summarised and 4 (possibly 5) additional species are recorded. A temporary population of S. assimile may have established for one generation in Tauranga but no species has established permanently in New Zealand. S. assimile is also recorded from the Pacific region (Fiji, Tonga) for the first time.
