Abstract
Two curculionid species of the cryptorhynchine genus Microcryptorhynchus are described, M. mayae sp, nov, and M. linagri sp, nov., both from Lynfield, Auckland, New Zealand. The host of M. mayae is Astelia (Liliaceae), the larva mining live leaves of A. banksii and A. trinervia, but that of M. linagri is unknown. It is considered that the demotion of Notaralles to subgenus of Microcryptorhynchus by Lyal is not warranted. A key to the species of ~Microcryptorh~nchuosf Lynfield is offered.
