Abstract

The Family Sisyridae (sponge-flies), genus Sisyra Burmeister, 1839 and the Australian species Sisyra rufistigma Tillyard, 1916 are recorded for the first time in New Zealand. The species is found to be established at one locality and is also recorded from two others.
