Scorodon Koch.

The authors present a study on Allium obtusiflorum DC., probably a sicilian endemism, of which they examine the morphology, the caryology, the ecology and the geographical distribution. It is a diploid species with 2n = 16, morphologically well differentiated, which occurs in ephemeral calcareous communities of microphytes. The leaf anatomy is examined too. As regards the systematic position, this species may be included, by some morphological characters, into sect. Scorodon Koch.
