A new species of Limonium (Limonium etruscum Arrigoni et Rizzotto) growing in the brackish dune lows of the Maremma Natural Park (Tuscany) shores is described. On the ground of the evidences collected, the authors support the view that this species (2n = 36) is an apomictic of allopolyploid origin.
