Euphorbia gayi, so far considered as an endemic species of Corsica (and perhaps Spain), is reported as new for the Italian flora. Its presence has been noted on the central eastern Sardinian mountains on schistose and pebbly soils. Morphological, biological and ecological notes on the species are given.
