Taxonomic notes on some species of Sedum ser. Rupestria Berger (Crassulaceae) and typification of their names

Summary

Three validly published names of Sedum ser. Rupestria Berger (Crassulaceae) are typified: S. xluteolum Chab., S. nicaeense All. and Sedum sediforme (Jacq.) Pau (Sempervivum sediforme Jacq.); their taxonomical arrangement is also reassessed. The name S. nicaeense, commonly treated as a synonym of Sempervivum sediforme, is here accepted as correct for the hybrid between S. sediforme and S. rupestre L., currently known as S. xluteolum.

Vengono tipificati tre nomi afferenti al genere Sedum ser. Rupestria Berger (Crassulaceae): S. xluteolum Chab., S. nicaeense All. e S. sedi- forme (Jacq.) Pau (= Sempervivum sediforme Jacq.). S. nicaeense, comunemente considerato sinonimo di Sempervivum sedi- forme, è qui proposto come nome corretto per l'ibrido tra S. sediforme e S. rupestre L., conosciuto come S. xluteolum.
