Impatiens flavescens sp. nov. (Balsaminaceae), a first yellow flowered balsam from the southern Western Ghats of India.

ABSTRACT

Impatiens flavescens sp. nov. (Balsaminaceae) is described as a new species from the Megamalai hills, Theni District, southern Western Ghats, India. Detailed description, illustration, conservation status and relevant ecological notes are provided, along with comparison with its closely allied species Impatiens inconspicua Benth. and Impatiens megamalayana Ramasubbu.
