On a Subterranean Snail and a Tornid from New Zealand

Abstract

A new genus is created for a new species of hydrobiid snail from a cave in East Takaka, Nelson. A new tornid from the littoral zone of the Wellington West Coast, which is tentatively placed in the genus Cochliolepis Stimpson, is described. The radula and operculum of both species are described together with notes on the animal.
