Abstract

The egg masses of three species of sub-Antarctic gastropods (Kerguelenella lateralis, Laevilitorina caliginosa and Macquariella hamiltoni) are described. Each species has nonpelagic development in the egg-masses and the relationships of this reproductive strategy to geographical position and egg size are discussed.
